There was a golden period of Photography & Videography when people would say "The camera never lies" But these days, with filters and editing software etc, we all know just how deceiving some photos and videos can be. And this will be the same with Artificial Intelligence too.
The earliest incarnation of Chatbots and other Ai software will be the most honest. But very quickly, as more systems are developed and released / updated . . . the room for manipulation, misinformation, or "Editing" will increase.
Then, we will see that it is pretty much impossible to have one consistent viewpoint on the world - because, frankly, the world is fundamentally inconsistent.
And to some extent, we're already seeing this. I've personally witnessed a few examples of one person typing in a certain prompt to Chat GPT, and being given a response entirely different and directly contradictory to someone else prompting the exact same thing.
So, if Ai is not fully agreeing with itself at this stage - then the future will be interesting.
Either the programmes grow in their wisdom, and become more consistent
Or, they just fall deeper into inconsistency. To the point that, soon enough, they can hardly be trusted at all
