In the days when plants were first starting to bloom, each flower was given the choice of whether to grow with Thorns or not
The Daffodils, Daisies, Lilies, and Lavender all refused.
Saying "Absolutely not! We can't have something as ugly as a Thorn ruining our beauty! Those things are horrible!"
But the Rose was different
Her compassion meant that she saw the deeper essence in all life on this earth. Not just in those who looked pretty on the surface
And so, of all the plants, she was the first to take the Thorn into her arms. And say
"Come. Hold on to me. We can bloom brighter together"
.
.
Thus the Rose became the most beautiful flower in the world
For her body
But, more so, for her spirit
